More than likely. I suggest talk to Randy Chambers. If he could do those shows are Ozzy selected him that would be really cool. I am sure Gus will do fine but Randy would be awesome. Either way if this is true I will be going to these shows some how some way.halorising wrote:Please tell me Guss G, wont be playing guitar on the boo and doam shows!!

Re: Ozzy considering playing full blizzard or diary albums
Why all this Hatn on Gus G????Am I missing something here???:Ive Only heard him Playing Mr.Crowley so far & I was impressed,as far as Ozzy's guitarists go.As Ozzy said "He Plays the songs How they were Recorded" w/o Adding too much of his own thing that it takes away from the song, say as some of Rndys other replacements.I think that a few of them had just did some Shred/Faking their way through certin "Tricky" passages.I think its Cool to have a Fresh take on those songs. It was cool to hear Joe Holmes who was instructed by Randy & you could tell by the way that he fingered certim Runs & scales.I Love ZaKK but sometimes it seems that he adds a little bit Too much of his own thing on certin songs.

Hi All!
My first proper post but been around a while lurking! Downloaded some shows, Thank You! so thought I had better join in LOL
I was thinking wouldn't it be great if for the Blizzard Of Ozz Anniversary Ozzy played smaller Venues like on the original tour and For Diary he brought the Castle back and played bigger venues?
Also wouldn't it be fantastic if a few axes could be buried and Lee and Bob played on the Blizzard Tour and Rudy and Tommy did the Diary Tour!! I know Lee doesn't play much if at all nowadays but just an encore would do wouldn't it?
Then of course the biggie would be who to try and fill Mr. Rhoads spot!

Re: Ozzy considering playing full blizzard or diary albums
Playing these albums live for their anniversaries is a cool concept and something I'd like to see and hear, but the one thing that is nagging me: How can Ozzy pull off some or all of these songs with a voice that is thirty years older?
There had been talk of the possibility of canned vox on the last tour...never heard the true outcome of that.
Tony Iommi has flat-out stated the reunion tours became trying, as Ozzy's voice limited him to exactly twelve Sabbath tracks.
Most of Diary Ozzy has never played live.
This isn't meant as a rip on the guy...I honestly hope he's able to do these songs justice. The castle and chainmail and everything would be ultra-cool, but it all becomes meaningless if his voice caves on night eight of the tour during the first verse of Over The Mountain.

Whenever I put on Blizzard or Diary, what a wonderful, delicate furious beast.... I MISS you, man!
