My friend from ny was at the passaic NJ show, We collect live recordings. He said that the moniters by the bar were showing the show. As far as I know through research is that most of the shows were recorded through the inhouse cameras. Also there was a fire or flood cant remember which that destroyed a lot of the films. So I believe this is the show Dave was talking about. Maybe one day it will surface.. I also read over at TK that someone has the ET footage. Why wont they share?? was it found for Peters doc.?? Thats what kind of upsets me on this. Everone want you to share your stuff but then when someone has new footage they sit on it.. The texas sound check footage This was longer you can tell by the edit. also the guy who sold it told me so.. what ever happened to lintball??
Yeah, that ET footage was found for Peter's documentary. I think Iron kind of brought people down to earth about it...he's seen it and apparently there's not that much new Randy footage in all of the recovered ET footage anyhow.
'lintball' sold my that DVD (I actually was the winner of the eBay auction but someone at .tk couldn't wait and had to get a copy to show everyone at .tk). The DVD was most likely not made by 'lintball'. It was most likely something he found and took advantage of.
I believe the editing is because the original film was damaged at that point. In addition, at the time, very few people new who Randy Rhoads was OZZY was the star, RANDY was in his backup band. People don't like to believe that, but it's true. So why would anyone want to make a film of the back up band warming up?
If there was more footage from that soundcheck, and 'lintball' had any, it would have surfaced. He was offered a lot of money but didn't produce out of 'fear of what Sharon would do' to him. Or in other words, he had nothing more than that clip and found a cop out.
As for that ET footage, it may come out after the documentary is released in 2018, but I wouldn't hold your breath. Peter probably has the only decent copy locked up.

We can't be sure. With that 'soundcheck' Lintball was only 'testing the waters' he said, I'm afraid it didn't turn out well or he was just talking $*9*#&&##*^*........ 'IF' we can believe him there were at least 5 shows filmed. (including Montreal '81)

We can be sure that this stuff is gone. I am. As I said, Randy was not the focus on that day, Ozzy was. No one knew the guitarist would die and become a legend, so any footage shot for a news show would likely have been tossed as irrelevant. It's nice to think there's lots of stuff, but I really doubt it. But then, my Randy-obsessive days are behind me, so maybe it's more a case of not really caring anymore as opposed to not really believing.

I'm willing to bet he found/had some old interviews from MTV, etc on VHS and transferred them to DVD and put his name on it. The DVD also has interviews with SRV and Rory Gallagher.

It does have the SRV ,Rory,Robin trower on it but these are unseen interviews.. as far as the ET footage I would still love to see the full 3 songs. Maybe I will if im still alive in 2018
