I've never heard of "Mighty Quinn". What is it on? Anyway I chose Diary although Mr Crowley and Steal Away are close behind.

its not exactly the easiest song in the world to get, especially good quality version. I think if i remember rightly you could download mighty quinn of Limewire but the quality was shabby. If you have the Obscurity to Eternity album (Which i do) it has a much better quality version.

Revelation (Mother Earth)

Because it shows Randy's classical influence. I've often read that Randy liked the idea of playing with a keyboard player similar to Styx, so I believe this song is representative of what Randy would have been doing later in life had he had the opportunity.

>> I don't know <<

I refer to the live version then. Because it was the first thing I heard of Randy when Tribute came out. Starting the opening riff after Carmina Burana, heavy metal heaven! 8)
Also that solo is very unlike his other solos. It really screams!

However it's very hard to choose, in fact I can't, they are all masterpieces and I never get tired listening to those songs even after almost 20 years!

Regarding favorite(s) Rhoads songs

Post by Shadow »

It's hard to pick a particular favorite when "all" of the above songs are Master pieces of legendary Guitarist/Musician Randy Rhoads (may he rest in sweet harmony). But I chose "Mr. Crowley" although it's quite a tie w/another favorite "I Don't Know" (I really like the groove vibe in that song! Totally trailblazin') and "Mr. Crowley" is a tearjerker song very intense emotional playing there. All the songs are great above especially the ones I've mentioned!
The legendary Randy Rhoads is an electric "Crazy Train" Guitarist/Musician to the max!
