Randy's Les Paul
Was the Les Paul that was bought from the Guitar Center for Randy used at the time or brand new? I thought that I read that it was used.

Oh, I know it was given to him by Guitar Center. I meant that it was bought for him at the Guitar Center. I guess I worded that weird.randy will never die wrote:it was not given to him by guitar center from what i read in the quiet riot days randys manager tould randy to go in the back room of the house and when randy opened the door the les paul was laying on the bed randy really liked the les paul so his manger gave the les paul to himThreeMan wrote:Was the Les Paul that was given to Randy from the Guitar Center used at the time or brand new? Re: Randy's Les Paul
The colour of Randy's Les Paul also changed because back in the day you could smoke inside to watch a QR show. Randy being a heavy smoker too helped change the white Les Paul changed to the colour we know it today.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought the LP was a gift from band and Mom. Like it was a surprise. He didn't actually pick it out.

Yes, it was a surprise. Their manager, Dennis Wageman, bought it for Randy from the Guitar Center for $800. Randy did pay him back for it.distortionplus wrote:Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought the LP was a gift from band and Mom. Like it was a surprise. He didn't actually pick it out.
