Kelly's official statement on people's misunderstandings of the book
"This book is not at all what people think it is, it is vastly different from any other book ever written about Randy. It's more my story than his. Growing up and playing with Randy was a very unique experience, one that has followed me my entire life. As far as it making my life diffilcult these days playing in a band, it doesn't at all. I really don't advertise it, other people certainly do, but my past is something I can never escape, this holds true for all of us. I realize that Randy continues to inspire and that is the most important part of his legacy. And it would have been to him especially. Having lost Kevin as well, I am pretty much "last man standing". I didn't want to write this book, but knew I would have to someday. That day came sooner than I thought. I went through two and half years of hell writting it. The book is primarily about two kids who had a dream to become rock stars, and all the fucked up things we did to pursue it. Because of where and more importantly, when, we were, alot of fucked up things happened to us as well. In the end, one of us made it to the top, and one of us didn't. And no matter how far I tried to get away from it all, they all still came asking about him. So, I hope the book fills in a lot of blanks. I care very much about Randy's legacy, and a major concern for me was that I did not want to tarnish it in any way, this added to the difilculty of writting it, we grew up in a harsh world and we were so young. The book very much explains the way we dealt with it then, and how I have to deal with it now. And quite honestly, it's been alot harder on me AFTER he was gone. I've really had to deal with some assholes. In the end, I have no problem with that. I just hope everyone can see, that, sometimes, when an angel comes along, they may have a little dirt on their face. and that's okay. An angel is still an angel." --Kelly Garni

Randi Rhodes fans complain that people lied to him and this book, you will spend the money?
The Vintage leather satchel bags for men are generally hand made, therefore it will take more time to make Black chain strap bag in general

First of all, this site is about Randy Rhoads, "Randi Rhodes" is a talk radio personality. Now, what are you saying? 'People lied to him and this book'... what does this mean?infoleather wrote:Randi Rhodes fans complain that people lied to him and this book, you will spend the money?
I'll buy this book and will support Kelly's efforts in telling this story of his (Kelly's) life.

Hey Paul I honestly think that thay particular poster is a bot w psuedo-intelligence because if you look at how the text is constructed its rather nonspecific, but the clincher for me were the links in the sig.
Info leather's sig has links about leather products lol go figure

If someone thinks that love and peace is a cliche that must have been left behind in the Sixties, that's his problem. Love and peace are eternal. John Lennon

Re: Kelly Garni's book
I can relate to what Kelli is saying and have been inspired by his writing over the years having studied with Randy. I owe a lot to Kelli as he helped me launch RhoadsScholar.com and put in touch with the right people at GuitarWorld which also lead to Fender/Jackson. My original intent was a memoire for my sons as they were interested in guitar. Through Kelli's help and the GuitarWorld editors it became something more substantial. There is a burden that comes along when you share stories, details etc. trying to remember what you did 30+ years ago. Kelli has a lot to offer. My focus has always been describing how randy taught and what I learned. Since I learned it, and he taught it to me, I remember it. It is harder to piece back together the stories of the times and I give Kelli a lot of credit of putting pen to paper. I look forward to paralleling Randy/Kelli's life back then with mine. As far as I was concerned at that time, I wanted to play in a band like Quiet Riot and Van Halen in Hollywood. They were the local rockstars who went on to become even more famous. The motiviation is not to get rich, but to share stories with fans that have not been told before. That is how I look at it.LRI wrote:Kelly's official statement on people's misunderstandings of the book
