Kelly Garni and Kelle Rhoads Question

The way things have developed between KR & KG i cannot say if they are friends or enemies. The last thing i remember was the wrangle with Garni selling Quiet Riot posters. The Rhoads found out and said he couldn't do it. At the same time a video was seen of both KR & KG talking about a book and a possible museum. But like everything connected to RR, it all came to an abrupt hault. I heard a rumour that KG sold all his 'so called- precious' Randy memorabilia. After all the BS with him being helped by the fans to keep hold of his 'treasured items'. Some fan from Japan bought the lot from him. He must of desparately needed some money and fast. He was a regular visitor here but he has gone now he must of been sick of reading posts like this one...?

I'd heard this as well. I also heard that he sold the Ormsby bass with Randy's fingernail... The way I see it is this, Kelly is currently enjoying a second round of playing bass onstage. He may have finally decided to move away from the legacy of being in Randy's shadow. If a fan offered crazy amounts of money for that stuff, Kelly may have simply said, "Enough is enough, it's time to move on." I have no problem with him selling what was his.

As for not coming around here anymore, a number of us have taken long breaks from UR due to the insanity that often reigns here. I hope Kelly's doing well with whatever he is doing now.

Paul i honestly think that is such a low thing to do. He speaks so highly of his friend and in his next breathe he's doing the total opposite. After all the BS about that bass guitar it really makes me think, was that really Randy's thumbnail that he put into that guitar. I've always questioned why someone would keep such a gross thing. He more then likely doesn't come here anymore for fear of the fans flaming him for doing such a stunt. But he will always be living in Randy's pockets Kelly WHO!!!. He'll still be at Mt View cemetery in March lighting the flame for his friend. It's like a gig for him and someone might recognise him.

well garni lives in las vegas,and k.rhoads is here in LA,i don't know of all this hear say,i know garni is a friend of family,and any dis-agreements they may have had,i think don't mean much since they are childhood friends,i 'm sure they talk

KG did his upmost to try to get a fast buck by selling Quiet Riot posters with Randy's image on them. The family put a stop to it and KG was sent packing that was the last time he was seen doing any projects with KR. That was around the same time the video was seen of them both discussing a 'possible RR museum' and a RR book. Of which non has come to fruition. Because he is now out of the picture and licking his wounds.
Why do you think his book 'Angels with Dirty Faces' is now a book about KG's life story. Because the book he was originaly going to do on Randy was stopped because the Rhoads could see he was doing it for self promotion and his own pocket only. Remember the so called clip of him on the telephone 'bad mouthing' the fans. Everyone said it was rigged at the time. But the guy who recorded him, blu him out of the 'RR inner circle'. Even if it was rigged it didn't do him any favours.

nobody know's randy better then family and friends who knew him and spent time with him,that's why what i said about both kell's was right,and all this "gossip" is just that "gossip" here is what k. garni wrote me today about this "so called dis agreement" -------

Selling the bass and photo album? The way I see it, and this is me speculating, maybe he had incurred debts beyond his ability to pay with his income. I know I'm at that point, unemployed and selling what I can to make rent. So, if he was in debt, why not sell these things to get himself out of the hole?

If I had something that someone would offer big money for, I'd sell in a heartbeat. Unfortunately I don't have 'collector's items' to sell. This week the guitars and bass go to the pawn shop to pay child support. I understand financial hardship and have no problem with Kelly making money where he can. You all can disagree, that is your right and I understand and accept that.

When I talk to Kelly next time, I'll ask about his relationship with Kelle Rhoads for you Geo...
