I've gone through the whole north american schedule and calulated
the distances between each town and city of the blizzard tour of 1981.
as you can see most dates are one day after another with very few breaks and in each venue
showtime was usually 8:00pm and to travel all these distances, and on time
doing the same songs almost every night for 6 months almost straight day after day
I'm sure the whole act was exausted and very very tired by the end of the tour.

Getting the equiptment set up and working, then taken down,packed and transported to the next gig
then set up again, working, then taken down packed and transported,set-up again, etc you get the point.
Touring has to be one diffucult thing to do and deliver most everynight an energetic performance
again night after night.

being in a band has a lot more working parts than most realize.
and for Randy to play consistantly night after night is an amazing feat
noting the schedule and times and distances.
a travelling magic show for sure!
If you were the bands tour bus driver this would be your itinerary,
as it reads for example:
philadelphia to bethlehem is 49 miles apart.
and bethlehem to rochester is 201 miles
accordingly......
