One song that Lee could have been talking about, possibly the instrumental band jam? It was composed during diary era. Just a thought.

Thats the one thing I didnt remember! ggrrr!!! , was so wrapped up in the moment of meeting him and talking about Randy i just didnt take it in.But for sure it was Randys last written song,if anyone knows how to contact Don,maybe send him a PM!?.I do know he was gutted that he couldnt put Randys name to it though.Silver Rhoads wrote:So, the song was released on one of his CDs, but Randy doesn't receive credit? Which song and CD is it? I'm curious to hear it.singerman71 wrote: I spoke to Don personally a few years ago after a small show he did with ex whitesnake members. He did confirm a song he and Randy wrote appeared on one of his solo albums,he approached Mrs Rhoads to ask if he could credit Randy on the writing of the song...she politely said no.
I ask Don if he knew of any unreleased songs.....he imediatly said yes, there were songs worked on in the Blizzard and Diary sessions that were never finished but nothing consided as unreleased

After listening to all of the preview tracks on iTunes, I would try and guess that it's Death Zone/White Out. If I'm correct, what do I win?

Couldn't he just be talking about you said it all and you looking at me? I doubt he has followed ozzy much since he was booted, he probably forgot they were released as b sides to the singles orginally..

We're talking about Don Airey mentioning that he co-wrote a song with Randy and Don recorded it on his solo album.Shockwave wrote:Couldn't he just be talking about you said it all and you looking at me? I was thinking Don Airey Song for Al (Instrumental)
That sound peice sounds more Randish. And it really reminds of So Tired.

Well what about the unreleased stuff that Kevin DuBrow said he had after the release of the QR album "the RR years" back in 1993? He claimed he had more songs (obviously of the QR days) to do another album - but alas these havent seen the light of day either....

Re: 2 and a half unreleassed songs (Randy)
It get's me the people who obviously have something against Lee and Bob and I think I know why. They aren't as successful as Ozzy. I don't know if they have actually attended an Ozzy show. It's usually a rush job - poor voice, forgotten lyrics, scrambling from one side to the other, take the mic off stand, put it back on. "Clap those hands, Smoke them joints, we love you all" And I like Ozzy. But why the back sass against Bob and Lee? IMHO the ones who don't like Bob and Lee are Republican-like. Hear me out. I know this guy who is Republican and makes 30K a year. I asked him why we should keep tax cuts for the rich and he said they pay a lot of taxes and create jobs. But we had had these cuts for 8 years, so where were the jobs? This man votes Republican but doesn't benefit from it because his demographic isn't being represented. Republicans are for keeping the minimum wage low for the worker but defend the CEOs bonuses of millions. This guy sees himself as "rich" even though he is having trouble making ends meet. Like I think some approve of the screwing over Lee and Bob because if these people had the chance, they would screw whomever out of whatever they could. Just an observation...
Re: 2 and a half unreleassed songs (Randy)
So where are the unreleased tunes?
The fact that Lee brought this up without anything to show is an example of why I don't dig'em very much anymore.
Honestly, if Randy wouldn't have died, their hard luck story would be very pedestrian.
These guys are constantly making claims that cannot be confirmed or denied cause the main figure in their story is no longer here.
After 30 years, its gotten old.
Saw Rhoads in July 1981, and I didn't notice or care that Bob and Lee were not there.

Nice Shred1. Are you on the west coast or at least lived there in the 80's, because that is the July '81 tour was. I didn't have the same luck (was too young). Will they be released? I don't know, but as I listen to the "guitar hero" tracks, there is momentum. As sure as I heard these tracks thirty years ago on the radio! Don't despair true believers!

Vancouver, July 15th at the Kerrisdale Arena. Motorhead opened.
The band was fantastic. Randy and Tommy blew my mind.
Attendance was about 2500.

That's what makes me laugh - "Grail" tapes?! These would have to be pretty amazing to be worth anything at all. My bet is people would hear them and be pretty underwhelmed. Grail tapes....pfft. We'll never hear these, folks.GUITARIDOL5682 wrote:I'm sure Don Airey mentioned something on the lines of a complete song that he wrote with Randy. This has been mentioned in the past but it has never been released. No big hoohar it's like everyone who is jerking off over the grail tapes. Why get so worked up when you'll never hear these unless Bob leaks them out. As i cannot see Ozzy & $haron ever burning any bridges to have them out to the buying public. They'll never let these be heard as long as they have orifices for waste products.
And as far as unreleased songs...there's nothing! Snippets it sounds like! It amazes me people are so worked up over works in progress.
Re: 2 and a half unreleassed songs (Randy)
About the Don Airey tune he wrote with Randy: I'd say it could be Whiteout from his K2 (1988) record, here's Death Zone/Whiteout from that album (Gary Moore and Keith Airey on guitars). It has some kinda band jam vibe to it.
I have the album in vinyl, from the sleeve notes:

Re: 2 and a half unreleassed songs (Randy)
I guess if you were in a band with Randy Rhoads and you had tapes of jams, you would only keep them is they were amazing? And one person could look at the DVD or a bootleg and say, "this is crap quality" and turn it off. The next guy is amazed and thankful something new has come out and he may EQ the bootleg to make it sound better. To each his own. I could listen to RR rehearsals (like the SS demo) all day! You bitch about Bob and Lee for not putting them out but the box set is the 2nd Ozzy/Randy release since his death! We may never hear them but that is life. You take the good with the bad. It sounds so hateful against Lee and Bob, "I didn't notice or care that Bob and Lee were not there." First, you probably didn't know the whole story or know they were replaced. The show was probably so amazing with Randy, it could of been just him, so to speak. But these guys have never gotten the credit they deserve. If they were already paid, why did Sharon Remove them off the albums? How do you feel about Sharon messing with those 2 albums? Let me guess, you love her but hate Lee and Bob.
