You didn't even mention the polka dot kit. Yeah, I think there's more than one Randy fan in that band.
Mastodon is probably the only newer heavy band that I like. This is one of my favorite tunes of theirs:

The section that starts at around 3:20 reminds me of some of the eerie Diary Of A Madman stuff. The guitarist even sings a little bit like Ozzy with a little Layne Staley mixed in. It'd probably sound pretty badass if Ozzy made an album with this band. His melodies with their music and lyrics could make a good combo.

i read in a magazine that he wanted to learn to play the guitar after hearing randy but had difficulty learning so he went to drums. he had that kit made as homage to randy...it's a sweet kit.
