"In April 1982, less than a month after a plane crash had taken the life of his young & talented guitarist Randy Rhoads , Ozzy chose my afternoon radio show on Memphis’ #1 station , ROCK 103 , to make his first public statements concerning the tragedy. In this week’s In The Studio show marking the 30th anniversary of Osbourne’s first solo album Blizzard of Ozz , Ozzy tells the real story of how the light plane stalled as the pilot, the band’s tour bus driver , attempted to take an aerial photo of the bus , with Rhoads & their 58-year old seamstress Rachel on board, and Ozzy and wife/manager Sharon Osbourne asleep in the rear of the tour bus."
Interesting...

Interesting. I assume that quote is from the interviewer, but Ozzy never mentions a "stall". He does mention them going up just to get an aerial photo of the bus though.
Re: In the studio with Ozzy
The April 1982 date doesn't match the audio. Oz mentions "Dana Strum of Slaughter," which would put this interview in 1990 or later. He also talks about the "Suicide Solution" controversy which was a few years after '82. It's a good interview, though - Don't know why they claimed it was right after Randy's death. Maybe it seems more dramatic that way.
