Thanks Dave for posting these magazine articles, I remember the covers to both of them but, I never ever purchased them or even got to read them before! So, I really enjoyed reading these.

Man,LesPauly...where were you a week or two ago when I was asking about theese & Nobody even remembered them ?? I Used to have both I got them a some record shos when I was like 15 back in the mid 90s,but somehow both of them Vanished from my WellProtected RR Collection never to be seen again.Anyhow Ive scanned most of the Dozens of RR mags I have & was Desperatly trying to find theese for a few years now since I noticed they were missing.They arnt too easy to come by.Like I said MUCH THANKS to Juano for Sharing theese w/me & All of Us!! He didnt have a Scanner so he had taken Pics of the Pages w/his Camera,I cant thank him enough.I love reading/hearing about Ozzys feelings about Randy & the Publics feelings about the Blizzard in Randys Life! I thought it was Totally Awsome to hear Diary had Sold like 140,000 Copies the 1st week,thats quite a Feat! And Interesting to hear Ozzy talk about his "Ideas" like Killer of Giants & Bark at the Moon,Years before their Completion.
And also the "Various" rumors/ideas/descriptions for the Future & what turned out to be Speak of the Devil. Ozzy here,says that "We are recording the Live shows for a Live Record"
And saying it will be a Double Record (but 2 seperate albums) one mabey called Killer of Giants & mabey the second a Live album?? in another interview from this same era Ozzy spoke of doing two records at once One Killer & the other called Bark at the Moon.
So to me it seems by putting Two & Two together......Ozzy was CONTRACTED to JET for Two albums before Sharon could take him & get a Huge deal & earn the money that Obviously he already was,but wasnt seeing it.This is in my opinion at least part of the problems w/Bob & Lee,God knows Jet wernt the most Straight Shooting Honest types so Ozzy prob sold way more than was actually credited & there was no Proper account of what monies were owed & Ozz wasnt seeing it so Sharon would be damned if Bob & Lee did.So Ozzy had the Concept for the records in his mind & planned on doing Two to get outta the Contract.Then when wrod about Sabbath releasing a Live album w/Dio it became a Race to get the product out,So I think Ozz just had to do it to be Free.In the Hit Paraders of 82 there are Mutiple articles of Both Ozzy & Sabbath going Back & forth individualy Talkin Trash about eachother in the Media.
But in the end of the day Ozzy came out on top (sales & Chart ranking) Ironicly Sabbath woulda beat Ozzy to the Punch,but this was the "Imfamous Spynal Tap esque" Live album where Tommy Would Turn up all his guitars & turn knobs on the mix,Only for Dio to Sneak back into the Studio in the middle of the night when Tony was gone & Turn up his Vox & turn the knobs the way he wanted,which ultimatly led to Dio quitting Sabbath shortly there after.

I read those with some truths put to rest. Ozzy not remembering too much these days. When he mentioned Tommy Aldridge always being in his sights as his perfect drummer. I'm sure that he was head hunted well before Bob & Lee got fired. They must of picked the moment and Bob decided that he would go aswell. So he had the perfect drummer he'd always wanted and he just needed Bob's shoes to be filled ..enter Rudy.

The 1981 European tour dates that happened with Saxon have always been uncomplete. Then someone will mention a date when they did play etc. Ozzy has just said he only did about 4 dates, cancelling the tour because he had the flu.

Ozzy mentioned that he taped and listened to alot of Live shows (a few of them going in the bin) due to his shit performance. The bootleg theory of soundboard quality shows has just went up a few degrees. But with a single cassette for each show who has them and do they still exsist ?.
