a couple new old questions

Post by blues_n_cues »

i know this one has been asked before.
whatever happened to the DOAM stage set? i've never seen the pics in that japanese tribute mag so i don't know what the back looked like. i believe KISS has all their sets stored so i'm curious.

who was the kid on the DOAM album cover? could it be one of Ozzy's older kids?

i was listening to a mix of no bone movies earlier w/ the guitar way up in the mix & i could swear i heard slide guitar playing in the lead... was that just my ears? i only have that one on the original vinly & tribute cassette. yes the original releases. :D

Nobody knows for sure of the stage?? but Ive often mentioned I used to rehearse in this warehouse & the owner had The floorboards of the Def Leppard Hysteria Stage w/the patterns on it,& when I asked how he ggot it & wheres the rest he said he Scrapped the Framing & the floors were left over because they wernt metal.I guess it varies band to band because I know some Bands would Obviously save Props, like Pink Floyds Wall & Metallicas Justice sstatue, but I wish I knew.
Yeah No Bone is the ONLY Ozzy track of Randy playing w/Slide
listen to it on the record its awsome,I dont think he played w/a slide on the live version.
There is even an early mix w/Porno samples & no Backup vocals at the end
I made a video of the comparisons

If you look on you tube make sure your not listening to the 2002 Rerecorded version as they redid the BVs & Bass & Drum

thats the version i was talking about (the rerecorded). i don't like them but the guitar is up in the mix.
like i said,my versions are the original vinyl & have been played hundreds of thousands of times. even back then they weren't that clear,or i just now noticed it...
he was a good slide player too for a "non"-blues guy.

Right Heres a Clip of Randy playing Slide http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BknvCipvvGs
Its a QR Song called always on the run,the Demo of the song doesnt have a Vocal,or the Slide if I remember right??

Yeah the Guitar is Sweet on the ReRecordings in a Few places, like the begining of Suicide,
but Overall its a Sacreligious and Bad product, its like the Two guys who produced it didnt even Compare mixes to get the right tracks turned up or down. But on No Bone the way Lees Laughing during the 4 count at the begining sets the mood & feel & the Gang Vocals at the end sound like a Party that your missing out on,for them to rerecord those vocals is just Silly & the Only acceptable excuse would have been that the Tracks disappeared from the masters.
