Why Did Randy Choose UCLA?

Post by Cpt Matt Sparrow »

I am just curious if anyone knows what it was about ULCA that appealed to Randy as a possible University to study at. Was it just that it had a good reputation or did he know anyone who studied there/was recommended it?

Cheers

Well, UCLA is considered a great school for music (and everything else, in general). I bet it appealed to him cause it was close to home and therefore he could still be by him mom, friends, and Jodi. His parents I think both went to UCLA too for music.

Hi Nicole

I didn't know that his mum and dad went there, thanks.

Does Kelle still live at home now?

yea it's Delores' alma mater, didn't know about Williams. UCLA used to have the scholarship fund there, she picked it for the great Classical program as well. I am sure that's why she refered it to Randy. Not sure if it's still there as well as Cal State Northridge. Cal Northridge has a great classical guitar dept, I found that out when I saw his pinstripe there. Either one though you can't go wrong, though I was real impressed with Cal State. It's closer to Burbank too, Randy's old stomping grounds.
