Actually it is possible,

Both Black Sabbath and Ozzy where still under Don Arden, Sharon's father's pay roles.,
And for example, Don Airy also worked with Rainbow and Sabbath also knew many many good teachers, apparently this teacher was really really good..

Gabriel if it is who I am 99 percent certain it is, he is a fantastic teacher and great player. Also an early music specialist.

This has always been a question on my mind aswell ? Non of the guitar teachers have ever came forward and mentioned what it was like teaching Randy. They have never been interviewed or mentioned in magazines. We have heard about his earlier days at Musonia when his teacher learned him everything he knew. Then he ended up doing his job LOL!! It would be good to chase this up and find out if this recommended teacher did teach RR.

If, and I am pretty sure it is him. He is about 60ish now. He teaches at one of the London Conservatoires that runs exchange programmes with Juliard. He tours regularly as a Lutenist. It is called the Guildhall School Of Music and Drama. His name is David Miller.

Here is what the hunch is based on.

A student I met years after studying with her at music college said that our old teacher (the man in question who teaches in London) over a drink after a lesson, had a conversation with her about rock guitar. In this conversation he had mentioned that he had taught Classical Guitar to "an American rock guitarist who was playing with Ozzy at the time" around c.1980.

When she mentioned his name he said "yes that was him"

It meant little to him at the time as he wasn't and probably isn't interested in popular music. It was the girl (like me a fan and player of Classical and rock guitar) tha was taken a back by this and said to an unphased David that "do you know who that was?"

That is all I know...
