Hey guys! Haven't been here for a while.
What do you guys know about the Randy Rhoads Documentary film that Peter Margolis is directing? Supposedly it's approved by the Rhoads family. There's gonna be a feature article about it in an upcoming issue of Guitar World magazine. Any news?

There is a nice write up in the new Guitar World magazine. March 19th, 2007 was the first official day of filming and interviews are scheduled through the end of the year.
According to the article, we should expect the film no sooner than the end of 2008.
Apparently he "hopes to include front-row concert footage shot on Super Eight by two brothers and is working to track down four songs filmed for Entertainment Tonight." So we may learn if the rumour is true that the Chicago footage was intentionally full of gaps so no one would have a complete version.
The other exciting news is that Margolis hopes to use the documentary to drum up interest in Randy so that he can create a full "docudrama" movie about Randy in the vein of The Buddy Holly Story and Ray. That would give Randy the tribute he deserves in all of our eyes.
