not crazy about it, i like the vocals but not the guitar or drums at all, much too heavy for me.

I hope the mix is a little better on the album. Waaaayyyy to middy for me. It's not bad though.

I don't know if I'll be wild about this album, but I appreciate that Ozzy's trying to do somethings differently. I really liked some of the acoustic intros on some of the songs.

I need to listen to the full album before I can give my reaction. A single song can never tell you the direction of an album...

Wow Alex. Nothing gets by you. :) I hear the similarity as well. I haven't listened to all of Gus's past band solos to make those kind of connections. Even Zakk does that from time to time. Hey, there are only so many intervals you can play on the guitar. Even Randy used licks from previous albums. Don't hold it against him. Gus was probably flown in and told just to cap a solo off the top of his head. I don't get the impression he had a lot of time to mess around in the studio. Ozzy hates being in the studio and his is in his house...

To me it sounds like he is not working with a guitarplayer anymore that comes with some good riffs at first and build songs together from there. I hear 'production' more than 'inspiration'.....

I'm yet to hear the album fully, but I've heard a few songs off it today when I bought it. I found the songs Let It Die and Let Me Hear You Scream likeable.

Has anyone got the album where it had "Ozzy Osbourne SCREAM" sticker attached to the album? :|
