Yeah, I'm going to call that one a fake. By all accounts, Ozzy bit the head off and realized as he bit in that it was a real bat (toys don't have bones), I can't see him holding it in his mouth long enough for a picture and, according to Wikipedia, "The currently familiar disposable camera was developed by Fujifilm in 1986. Their Utsurun-Desu ("It takes pictures") or QuickSnap line used 35 mm film, while Eastman Kodak's 1987 Fling was based on 110 film. Kodak released a 35 mm version in 1988, and in 1989 renamed the 35 mm version the FunSaver and discontinued the 110 Fling." So his convenient use of a 'disposable' camera and losing the negative raise incredible doubt.
And what's with refusing a previous bid and jacking the price into the astronomical? Definitely a fake.

If you listen to the Milwaukee show from late Jan 82 Ozzy mentions the American animal society being at the venue monitoring his behaviour which locates it to the early part of the Diary tour.
For many years I had believed this happened during Brad's time with Ozzy I think that Randy suggested that it was all a stunt, but I am not certain about that.
