Ok, so the show...

Missed the opening band, as the ticket said to be there at 7:30, which we were...I guess they go on before then.
Zombie sounded a bit hoarse/out of breath of a few numbers, but he put on a really entertaining show with the dancers/cheerleaders/strippers. Most of the crowd was really into him. His set was not quite an hour long, which was dissapointing. He played a lot more of his new shit, whereas I was pinning for some White Zombie, but oh well. They did a cover of Enter Sandman, oddly enough though. I'm officially in love with John 5. This secrity guy kept blocking this girl in the pit from taking pictures of John and when he realized that, he just went to the other side and signaled her to follow him. Then he did a nice pose and :D. It was very sweet, actually. He rips live, BTW.
So yesterday before the show, I was really preparing myself to be dissapointed with Ozzy's show, but sadly, I wasn't. He sang really REALLY well actually and there was no backing track. Back up singing by the entire band, yes. Backing tracks? No. But he sang really well, moved around a lot, and was very happy to be there. In short, he made it impossible for me to hate him. Bastard.
Anyway, his set was a bit short too. No Fire in the Sky or Into the Void. Which was odd, seeing as that he was actually having an 'on night'. He didn't even screw up any lyrics, that I could notice. There was this part where this girl flashed him during Paranoid and he completely stopped singing. He looked a little scared and ran off to the other side of the stage.
Zakk's way too long solo included most of the RR tribute solo. During Here For You, he pulled a girl onstage and let her sit next to her as he played for most of the song. It was very very cool. 8)
Ozzy and Zakk have the strangest dress sense for these shows. Ozzy was wearing dress pants and dress shoes and Zakk had overalls on.
Anyway, I was in the 4th row and got some KILLER pics of Zakk and Ozzy. I'll post them soon.

---

End ramble.

amazing shots there. front row must have been nice. the show i was at, the one on randy's birthday, i was first section off of floor, dead center.

zombie was a complete badass, never seen him live, really enjoyed him, could feel the heat from the pyro blasts. enjoyed john 5 alot, enjoyed the women more.

ozzy complained about a sore throat that night. bummer. he didn't do a whole lot with the crowd, kind of ignored us and played music. but i was very impressed by the show. it still sticks out in my mind so clearly. and zakk's spotlight solo did include alot of randy, but i noticed when he did play randy, and the crowd started to cheer, he'd shake his head and point to heaven. still brings tears to my eyes.

but yeah, that was my first ozzy/zombie show. overall impressed. would go again.
