Tad harsh on No Rest For The Wicked imo, but I think they got it just about right.

Yeah the order is there in some of my fav Ozzy albums but to put any Live albums amongst his studio stuff is a get out of jail free card. I have not bought any of Ozzy's albums since the Prince of Darkness box set. I never even bought the 30th blizzard/diary anniversary box set. i think that's down to hearing albums that are lacking some thing. He's still picking out the guys who can cut it on guitar. But if you notice from his track record he has had to get guys to help him to write good tunes for him Lemmy for example. I think his later albums have all been flops Scream, Black Rain etc.

I thought Black Rain was hmm, okay, nothing special, a bit 'too' black label society for me, but it was a very very heavy for album Ozzy. Much heavier than say Down To Earth. I wasn't much for Scream. I find most of Ozzy's new material is very regurgitated. It's going to be hard for Ozzy to ever find modern relevance. Metallica are doing their best to crack it. Megadeth are up and down.

I don't think live albums should have been included in the list at all because they are not part of the writing process, I love 'speak of the devil' and clearly the two live Randy albums don't need further comment!
Like all albums their are few that star and end and you love every minute like 'diary' and the process of rating them is subjective. I really like 'gets me through & ozzmosis' but I don't expect anyone to agree with me?! I used to love 'no more tears' but got bored with it when the songs on it became the mainstay of his live set.
I think it's almost sacrilege for me to say 'blizzard' bores me! But it's not because the songs are rubbish but because the production lacks excitement. And I wish just once that ozzy brought back Revelation Mother Earth and even No Bone movies which although seems like an album filler has some progressions that I still finds myself playing without even thinking about.

Hey Ian your a bit late to the party on this one..But good to pull this one out of the archive....The amount of time Ozzy and co have re-released packages is scandollarles...did you see what i did there. Yeah when the band have nothing to offer up bring out a box set 20 years after etc. But the amount of times these products have been repackaged and released again..flogging a dead horse to the music industry...It is a lucrative business but has any other artist done the same and as much as Ozzy... For the record No More Tears is one of the better non Randy albums. The lyrics and toitles of some of the tracks could of been better 'Zombie Stomp' comes to mind. But i honestly cannot say that album has been bettered and the album sales prove that. If Ozzy needs another best selling final album he'll have to pull in some cool writer to fire the inspiration for a classic album..He knows the guys who can play and do it..It's down to the arrangement and production of a cool album.. It would be great to hear this one and i hope it does happen...Instead of another lack lustre Ozzy repeat product.
