I think its just an image thing and we all change our appearence over time.I do agree with the clean rock guitarist image he had back in 1991.But i like his image now aswell plus i think it suits the band,i don't think he is wanting to be a 'pin up' for the chicks he is more into the biker getting pissed with the lads image.Plus he is married with a kid so he must be happy even if he doesn't show it LOL!!

Ok, I don't know what rock I've been under, but I watched Rock Star for the first time (yes, you read correctly, first time), last night, and I realized Zakk was in it. DUH!!! Anyway, I still think he looked better without the long lumber-jack-zztop beard.

i watched Rock Star once (ok film) mainly because Zakk was in it! Pitty he only had about 4 lines (but they were good lines

)

i couldn't believe how young he looked! losing the beard literaly strips the years off him.

I think Zakk truly does not give a shit what anyone thinks of his appearance, and I agree with that attitude as well. I happen to think this is the coolest he has ever looked, but the main thing is that his playing is the important thing. I for one, love his whole style, sound and approach to the instrument. ZAKK RULES!!!!!!!

Someone once said that rock/metal must be "edgy" (smelly and mean) otherwise it becomes too polished and artificial. One thing is for sure, he scares the hell out of me with the biker look. And I think that is exactly what he is shooting for...
