Thanks Tito! The tone is from the Fractal Axe FX XL plus preamp, effects processor, I just got it last week. This is the first recording I've made with it so far, and that's one of the first presets I've made so far. I am still learning how to shape the tones etc, so I expect the tone to improve more on the next Randy Rhoads solos I record and upload. It also has a tone match on it where I can upload audio from a Rhoads tape and the Fractal will tone match the EQ of it and I can use it in a preset, I haven't tried that yet, but will soon.
Happy Thanks giving

That's actually a really nice tone. I assume that's directly line-in into the computer then?

Thanks! It's a BC Rich Mockingbird from 2010 that they don't make anymore.
It's neck thru with a mahogany neck and mahogany body, with a 1/4" maple top on the body.
24 5/8" scale length so it's easy to reach the notes.
Hardtail so no whammy bar to mess with tuning stability.
24 frets for 2 octaves on each string.
Ebony fretboard with cool little fret inlays.
And the finish is cool because it's a vintage violin finish so it looks like a instrument that would be played in the baroque period.
I like the shape too, because it's easy to play standing or sitting.

It is the only type of guitar I've ever found that has all of those particular features, especially hardtail, 24 frets, 24 5/8" scale length, and Mahogany body & neck, neck thru.

I only paid about $400 for the guitar NOS.

Then I made these modifications to it:

I added locking tuners.
A graphtech xl tusk nut.
Graphtech resonator bridge with special saddles and a graphtech tailpiece.
A Dimarzio Super Distortion pickup in the bridge (like randy)
and a Lollar single coil for humbucker in the neck (for blues and pretty clean tones)
Added a kill switch, and moved the position of the toggle switch and volume & tone controls.
Upgraded all of the wiring.
Added straplocks.
Added jescar jumbo Stainless Steel Frets
Had all 24 frets scalloped like Yngwie Malmsteen.
Had the nack of the neck profile shaved down so it's almost as thin as a Wizard now and had that part refinished.

The luthier only charged me $600 plus the cost of parts.

So all in all I've got a total of about $1,600 into this guitar, including the guitar itself, parts and labor, but the guitar is the best playing guitar I've ever played.
I made every aspect of this guitar have the path of least resistance so that nothing can get in the way of me and the music.
