Was jamming one fine day, and had the perfect tone for this intro.

Yea they are not easy to master that's for sure. Sometimes it can take years and then one day it finally just 'clicks' and you nail or better understand how to play a certain song or solo...

A number of years ago I wanted to learn Picking Up the Pieces by Quiet Riot. Most of it came easily, but the arpeggiated section leading into the chorus threw me. I accepted the fact that I couldn't do it... Last August I was looking for something new to practice and thought about that song. I played it twice, the first time I struggled in the same place I always had, the second time it just worked. Now I play it all the time and it's easy.

As you say, it just "clicked".
