The only thing I think Kelly doesn't cover enough is the use of the internet in being a 21st century musician. I can speak personally about the power of networking; using sites such as Myspace, facebook and youtube. I think rather than seeing it as networking though, the best thing is to just get stuck in and listen to people's music, share yours and make it clear where people can see you play/buy your music!
