Hi Skezza,

Thanks very much. I'm aiming for the "after hours" kind of vibe (as you know) and his live sound as it seems somewhat more "off the cuff" and indicative of his desire, playing wise (on electric anyway). Who knows?

As for the set up, I've taken it back a step and use a very basic, modded 5 watt Harley Benton head, through two 1x12 (celestion G12t & 75th anniversary mounted) cabs, the RRT-1 standard and 1980's Japanese Boss RV2. Recordings are "live" and taken through a cheap USB mic into Audacity via a laptop.

The rest is just Gibson Les Paul Custom, size 11 strings and 30 years of playing (well, messing around really). The Marshall's and rest of my gear is taking a rest.....haha

Got to let me hear the tones you've got, especially with your playing ability.... PM me with the audio and other sites.

Cheers,

Pete

Me and a mate of mine messing around. He recorded the rhythm stuff and mine is the discordant soloing.......Just an MP3 file.

Just so you know, any of the "whammy bar" sounds are just from string bending and slides, no weird tricks or Floyd Rose stuff here...

Thanks very much Matt.

It's not quite in the same league as your playing...... !!

The classical stuff you've done is mind boggling as I started on a nylon 6 string finger-shredder originally......Ouch.

Instrumental Blues piece I'm working on at the moment. Still to add some more, then bass/drums and mix it down properly.

Nice playing Pete, like the Rhoads and Lynch stuff. I always thought George was a really good player and a bit underrated.

A very belated thanks very much David :D

Couple of bits I recorded of me getting used to my home-built '58 Les Paul. It took me a couple of months to build from scratch, but has been well worth it.

Sorry about the poor "Over the Mountain" solo and fluffed arpeggios. The second clip is the (boring) Sweet Child O Mine solo.

Peace and happy new year to all.....

Not Randy, but it's an understated genius in the form of Wolf Hoffman....Princess of the Dawn Solo. Bit rough around the edges and the sound isn't too good with the camera, but you get the idea.

Peace.

The pedal is almost like a third limb for me, may as well just build it into the guitar..!

Here's one for RR.... RIP man..
