Crazy Train (cover using the songs master tracks)

Post by zachrockafellow »

There's one with ozzy singing and one without. I used the master tracks from the song (which were ripped from guitar hero)

Let me know what you think!
P.S. Sorry the quality of the guitars isn't exactly studio, i did the best i could though.

Hi Zach

I meant to say thank you for your message on myspace sorry to be rubbish not getting back.

This is really good, well done...

Another Crazy Train and another slightly different version. I wonder what Randy would think of all of our versions of his songs? I like to think he would like them because they are our own.

Thanks! I'm gonna post the master tracks in the free audio section for crazy train and mr. crowley. Hearing ozzy alone is pretty funny!

Peace guys

here is some of my takes, and you can grab the Jamtrax too,

I am sort off trying to experiment like the way Randy did the record, but just a quick sloppy jam one or 2 take thing ( warn you VERY SLOPPY), you can here notes which dynamically drop out naturally from double takes but are actually been made up by the over dubbed second stereo track like the record, like when both tracks play in stereo, , on the record Max Norman sort of panned Randy off center and then into the center etc, i just left them hard Right and Left so you can tell., ALSO,

i am putting together recordings and videos of Tribute versions, and my own versions as well.

Apparently this site rocks man, i just started getting back into Randy after i got a RR5 a year ago, since then allot of cool stuff seems to be happening, and i dig sharing music like this with you guys, its loads of fun, i bet if RR never had the accident we would all be here doing this anyway.,

i wanted to ask you guys if you happen to have the jamtrax to "I Dont know "by any chance, i just heard from Martin Hayles who did these for Lick Library but he says they did "I dont know" BEFORE he was hired by them.

I am gonna do a Tribute version of "I dont know", Mr.Crowley, Suicide Solution and Spotlight solo, Iron man/Children of the grave, Paranoid.

let me know
Peace
G

I too have been looking for a track for I Don't Know for a long time, but unfortunately I have found none! If anybody has made one or has found one somewhere and would like to share it it would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Peace

I am into doing the Live RR versions now, this is a poor example in the bridge, i have not played it in years and almost forgot the section, but a fun start,
http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/2/6/7 ... aul%29.mp3
i managed to get maximum levels on the master channel using old shcool stuff they used with Ozzy, T-Raks v3 has it all!, i will post my own versions, would you guys be into postings your too?

Steve Morse has been performing I don't know

and Crazy train

in a band called living loud very funny, i like it too, he has a very unique finger picking style, but i have to say doing covers is fun and you can hear yourself better then you can your own material, but in the case with Jimmy Page i sound too much like Randy when i play his stuff, and to add to that i end up loving his studio work, so for good example, on Kashmir, i played single guitar track like I DON'T KNOW ABOVE as to 2 or 3 on a solo, and i doubled it on another, slid it out of sync and created the age studio sound, check it out., loads of fun.

let me know if you want my jam trax of this, i built it of a drum look and added cheezy keyboards..

Gabriel, I am a BT junkie! What you played "I Don't Know" over didn't seem too shabby. Your playing of it was killer, I like how you had a little Morse feel in the bridge, great use of quotation. I would love to have the BT's to I Dont Know and Kashmir if that's cool. The tone you had on I don't Know was really in your face, especially when the leads were busted out! I use T-Racks 3 as well. I just got Ozone 4 and have dabbled with it but haven't had time to really see if it's ok to go in my favorites folder.

I have a hard time getting allot of this plugs to emulate the tubes right, IK seems to of did it well!, even for amplitube, the rectifier sounds crazy, and of course t-racks 3 has allot of the same old school stuff used on the Ozzy DOMM tours., and this is how i got the sound so loud before distortion, i gotta try "I dont know" with the Jackson guitar too.. i did not use Amplitube on thsi but a Marshall dfx100 and it's line out, levels stayed the same while the amp was loud enough to get feedback.

I am in the middle of finishing that live tribute versions of Ozzy RR tracks, turns out no one has done them and Randy's playing is night and day compared to the records, his sound obviously improved allot more.

Im gonna get into
"I dont know",
"Suicide Solution/Spotlight solo",
"Crazy Twain",
"Over the mountain",
"Flying High Again",
"Iron Man/ Children of the grave",
"Diary of a Mad Man",
Some more "Sabbath" stuff live "RR" style, etc,
Actually iam working on "Beat it" tomorrow, 3 people asked me to play a solo using my own palm harmonic stuff, i always thought it was ripping of Eddie, but then again, Eddie was pop (he hates hwne yu say that) but.. its what he did ;)

Then i do my own ozzy stuff which i basically used once for a ozzy demo.

Maybe we should have a section here where we all contribute versions of us performing ozzy stuff against BTs, what you think?, we can play our own fills, its fun man.
