Diary Of A Madman arranged for Guitar Quintet

Post by Cpt Matt Sparrow »

Hi everyone

Darin (Cableguy) asked me to do this a long time back. It began to grow on me the idea of arranging it for nylon Guitars and I gave him first listen.
It is decicated to all Randy Rhoads fans.

So here it is. I hope you enjoy it

mmm..... I like that first song from Matt with that black lady much better....

Nah... Sounds great Matt!, I like the arrangement and the sobriety atmosphere you gave it, fits very well! Wish I could play classical like that! 8)

Of all Randy's work, I think it would probably work well.

I think a fantastic arrangement would be for string quartet. There is something about Diary that keeps it's creepy-ness if it is a small ensemble playing it. The danger with huge orchestrations of rock/pop pieces is they seem to lose their original mojo!

Matt, I am in shock from this still! My own path on the instrument has been made more clear by this. I've listened to this like 5 times in a row!! This kind of take on this song never even crossed my mind and I'm glad you did it! Thanks
Oh bring me some CHUNKY PUDDING, and bring it RIGHT NOW!!!

Thank you for such a warm reception gang!

I just googled the Tales Of The Riverbank and it is strangely comforting.

Ha ha I know all the faults in this, I just was so excited to finish it I just uploaded and took an excited gulp!

Sincerely Thanks again. I am happy you gained pleasure from it.
