Hi Pat

If you ask one of the guys will sticky this.

All I can say is what a lovely surprise these are! Yes they are presented beautifully but the playing is the most important thing and I absolutely loved them!

It is nice seeing Randy Rhoads' music interpreted too without 'OTT' vibrato. It is such a modern thing to vibrato every single note possible, and really wide vibrato it at that!

You have a lovely 'make it look easy' type control too!

Hi Pat

Great new addition. Are you a Classical Guitarist too. I noticed your choice of vibrato is often left to right rather than the bend vibratp used by most rock players.

Cheers

Hi Matt,

Many thanks for your nice appreciation.

Well, I have a classical guitar which I play every now and then (and probably more often than the LP). But I would not consider much of a classical guitarist as I can't really say I actually practice. I read some stuff about those vibrato techniques (left/right, up/down, mixed) and actually tried them. In the end, this left to right vibrato appears more natural to me. What is this 'OTT' thing that you mention ? What does it stand for ?

Thanks Matt. Coming from a pro musician, I really appreciate it. :D

No, I don't have a website. I did open an accout on myspace but found it difficult to set up a nice page. Basically, for the time being, I am simply having fun recording these pieces.

I visited your site and listened to some of your compositions and playing.
That's beautiful. I cannot imagine how much dedication it takes to get there...

I'm not too good on acoustic guitar, but I enjoy anyway. For example, I recently learnt that one ( don't be too harsh on me):

Good evening,

Well, I thought it was time for me to pay tribute to Kiss. I was very young when they came up and I got to discover that music - thanks to my elder bro - in the early 80's. At first, I really was into their Dynasty era . Growing up, my preferences moved to their Destroyer to Alive II period. With adulthood, my tastes definitely settled to their first albums and the legendary Alive! Here's a reason why:

I do not play a lot of Kiss. Althought it looks technically simple, I think Ace's style is quite hot and not that easy to render, with huge feeling and proper timing. Technically, the approach is very different from Randy's but it does rock. It's definitely worth a try.

Any Kiss fan around ?

Enjoy.
