So yeah it took two days to write the lyrics of this song and to come up with a melody, which granted sounds simular to House Of The Rising Sun, but that was intetional cos House Of The Rising Sun was Granddad's favourite song, but when Ian got me to listen to two songs by Willie Nelson, Gravedigger and Who Will Buy My Memories, his style influenced the song.. as for the title Let The Eagle Soar, that was wise words from our own Matthew Sear

I hope you enjoy it.. lol I sing awful though xD
Here's the lyrics..
Let The Eagle Soar
You ask me if I’m okay,
I lost my friend,
He may’d been ol’ and grey,
But I never wanted it to end,
This way,
I knew he was dying,
From the cancer,
But still there was questions.
With no answer,
I could have cried,
Tears fall for him no more,
Trust me I tried,
Let the eagle soar,
Just cos I don’t cry,
Doesn’t mean I don’t care,
I’ll spread my wings and fly
Cos life it ain’t fair,
(Guitar Break)
Memories I hold of yesterdays,
Shown on a single photograph,
I know you love me always,
I’ll remember your laugh,
Let the eagle soar,
Until the day we meet,
At Heaven’s door,
I’ll be standing on my own two feet.
