and after hours of frustrating tinkering (and dismantling a computer and putting most of its components in another) i got the damn thing working.
and so, i did the obligatory crazy train recording!
i triple tracked it, and sent one all the way to the left, one all the way to the right, and one dead center. whether or not thats actually how it worked is debatable, and i sure as hell don't get cubase yet, but it definitely beats my old method. (laptop mic and audacity... lol!)

i think it has to be downloaded. i couldnt get putfile to work, so i hosted it on the first free hosting site i could find. thanks for listening!
