Some of the threads tex is being hiding by a frame ?.

Post by GUITARIDOL5682 »

I don't know if this is happening to everyone on this site. But most of the threads tex is being blocked by the paneled framed which surrounds the screen. The words continue behind the frame and sort of off the screen its the top third of the screen where it is most troublesome. If you know what am saying ??. I'm sure its nothing for our Joe to fix. But if anyone else is being bothered with this please let em know ok.

can you screenshot this for me. I don't understand, unless you can explain better (Without trying to sound nasty)

If you're using IE6, I would update straight away to IE7 or IE8 (just for security sake) but UR generally works well in most new browsers (Chrome, IE8, Firefox, Safari etc)

I have that problem too.

Joe,
It's the same as when someone post a very wide picture and then in the posts after one have to sroll each time from the left to the right to read the complete text line. It looks like that, but the difference is that now there is no wide picture post and one still have to scroll.

ahh. its not the text. its picture, if a picture is uploaded via our upload system it should resize it to a normal size, but when a picture is hotlinked like alex did, it basically stretches the template because there is no way of declaring the size of the picture. ill look into a fix ;)

No, it's not because of a picture, it happens when 'no picture' has been posted too.
I took the 'picture' example to explain you what GI meant. Before Alex posted his picture I already had to scroll from left to right to view the complete text lines from the posts.

I see what you mean. When I made the reply, I was at work, so Alex's picture didn't show up, but I presumed that is what you meant. So it happens on Firefox? I use Chrome and it has never happened. Has anyone had it happen with Chrome or IE or any other browsers. That is most bizarre. It looks like a CSS error (like it might not be loading properly). If you refresh, does it sort it out? Because that might mean an error in the CSS which means it is only loading intermittently. It would be a lot easier if I was having the same problem so I could try and sort a fix for it. I don't want to change the style, but I don't want to leave the problem.

It's only an issue for me in Firefox if the window is not fully maximized.

Its ever since i modified the css, i couldn't quite get that right. Unfortunately, it means i might have to revert some of the really stylish changes :(
