I just wondering if it's me, but this site is loading very slooooow for the past 24 hours. All other sites I visit are normal.

Yeah i'm having the same trouble, this site normally loads up quickly and its taking forever. Once your logged in, even browsing is taking ages for each page to load up.

Should be running fine now. Turns out we had tonnes of Russian automated spambots connecting all at the same time, trying to force hundreds of registrations through. What's worse I couldn't really do anything about stopping them without disabling the board for a few hours. Once the board was disabled, they dropped off, the board started to speed up and I could clean up the mess they left.

For the time being, user registrations are disabled. I will look about implementing a new spam protection feature. We've been fairly spam free lately, but it's always going to be a problem with forums and these guys simply writing the software to get around protection.

Thanks to Shaun for letting me know via Facebook. I don't have much time on my hands at the moment and if I'd been available yesterday, I would have had this sorted already.

Anyway, if you spot any spam posts I've missed let me know, I think I've cleaned them up though.
