Interesting Find

Post by BowTie29 »

Today, I was playing guitar and realized that my speaker cab isn't working so I opened it up. It was sold to me as having T75s in it but I was surprised to actually find Greenbacks in it. (presumably reissues as it is a 1999 cab) What are peoples thoughts on Greenbacks vs the T75s, Im guessing that people are going to go for the Greenbacks as they are generally highly regarded speakers.
I brought the cab into a tech so hopefully soon I'll get to hear what working Greenbacks sound like!

Green backs are great. I prefer the 75 watt speakers as I like the mid range bark they offer. I also like the vintage 30's. But I really lean towards the 75 watt speakers. I did have green bacls 10 years ago. I thought they were ok. I can see why people like them and they are classic. But there was something compressed about them that I didn't like. And compressed might not be the right word. But they barked wrong fro me.
