you can tell its airbrushed...esp the one on the back. I would love a close up photo of the front one.

Awesome paint job man...how long have you been airbrushing for??........I have been "trying" for a yr or so and i suck at it, I haven't really done much of it though

Pushing 10 years going custom paint. Graphics. And airbrushing.

Well, without further delay...here it is. I'm a little bummed about the final product, finish wise. You can see the pinstriping is not good on the bottom bevels. And no headstock logo, apparently the builder/painter didn't trust his skills to do a detailed painted logo. Oh well. It plays beautifully, which is what matters most...

Stays in tune well...but that is mire thanks to a good set up...the guitar plays very, very well. Aesthetics aside I'm very pleased

How is it on reaching the higher frets (15-22)? I know Randy said that was the main downfall of that design, how do you find it?

It's tricky, but doable. Not as bad as you would think.

I ownded a Jackal Concorde and past the 17th fret was a real pain especially if you were trying to play the lower strings. Some said it was like playing a les paul. I actually thought it was harder. And it was only because of the design of the guitar. It just got so thick because of were the body joined the neck. I really like the design from an asthetic perspective. But from a practical stand point it was not very good.
Anyway that guitar looks really good. Nice job.

That's a great looking guitar i think the headstock looks better without the logo and the RR truss rod cover is a nice subtle touch.

ever though of scalloping the last few frets
you can get a better grip on the last frets if they are scalloped TRUST ME
but if you do theirs no turning back

Mike is in hiatus. He sadly recently had another stroke and is not building for now. Hopefully he can again one day. I might mention he was an enormous help on my project here, and deserves a ton of credit for the end result.
