It's so funny. I've owned a total of 7 electrics(one homemade),
3 basses and 1 acoustic. While most guys seem to increase their
collections, I've sold off and decreased mine, so I'm down to
1 electric, 1 acoustic and 1 bass at the moment

Me too... 1 electric, 1 acoustic and 1 bass.

I tend to sell a guitar to buy another... never had more than 5 at once and that was for a very short time. I'd reall like to buy the parts from Warmoth to build a Thunderbird bass with a maple fretboard.

I've finally settled on pickups as well

There's a guy, here in Sweden that does luthier work,
that also winds pickups fairly cheap(lower than what I'd
pay for a new Seymour Duncan here ), so I figured,
why not give the guitar a complete overhaul?
