acoustic strings

Post by rice_pudding »

hi all,

ill be stating to play steel string acoustic soon and im wondering if anyone can share they're experiences of different brands of strings. I've looked at whats available but needless to say im confused.

im looking for a balanced sound as i find many acoustics have too much top end.

Elixers...Ughh!

Dont like 'em. They sound kinda dull right out of the package. And the coating starts to fray after a while.

I like D'Addario Phosphor Bronze 11's.
