Floyd Rose Saddles

Post by BowTie29 »

Im new to the Floyd Rose, but am going to get one to try it, however I dont want to pay 200 for a new one and I dont want a licensed that will go out of tune. Im looking at a used one but Im not sure if the saddles are in good condition or not, anyone here able to tell if these would need to be replaced or not?

I know that the rest of it should be good, Im familiar enough with them, just the saddle divots where the strings are supposed to lay over is where Im not sure if they have be worn away too much or if they are normal.

I think you might be fine

BUT just look at the second link I gave you

Flyod rose saddles aren't that expensive

My edvice is to go to your local guitar center or music shop and have them string up the guitar this is going on and have them tune it THEN if it does not stay in tune buy the replacement saddles from the second link I have provided

GOOD LUCK

Those saddles are not worn at all. Even when they are, they dont cause tuning issues. The knife edges where it pivots against the post (and the post themselves) DO cause tuning problems when worn. These ones look like the chrome has stripped off in that area, but its difficult to see the actual wear in this photo.
