reminds me of a kid i know. He wanted to be a rockstar and learn to play the guitar so his parents go and buy him a Les Paul :?
to be fair he did put the effort in to learn :lol:

than there was this other guy, a college prof i played with once or twice, he loved guitars and had money to spend so he had collected about 6 LP's a couple of strats and god knows what else. Sadly he could barely play a note...

maybe this is a rude comment but i think you have to earn the right to own a good guitar.

I think too many people look at it as a status thing... but I agree, I feel you should learn to play before buying an expensive guitar.
