Re: Crazy Train: The high life and tragic death of Randy Rho
Hey Joel! Your Cliff Burton book was great! Thanks for filling in the blanks on his life for us fans. If this book is anything like the Burton one, we should definitely have an essential piece of reading for Randy fans - and I have a feeling this book will be just as good, or better! It doesn't get ...

Re: Lemmy's Book
This has been discussed before, I think, but is an interesting topic. As much as I admire Randy's work and who he was as a person, Lemmy does have a point. Randy was great, to be sure, and I disagree with Lemmy to a degree, but I also think that the "Legend of Randy" sometimes overshadows ...

Re: Randy VS. Speak Of The Devil
This thread reminds me of a thread over at .tk that I commented on ages ago. I have always felt that Randy brought an "upbeat" feel to the Sabbath material; his playing was just too good to emulate Iommi, and more than likely, while he didn't care for playing the material, being the consum...

We Canuck Randy fans are plentiful, but not many on this board! That's ok - it's always fun to talk to our US brethren!

Re: OZZY PLAYED BY ROBERT DOWNEY JR. ?
Of the bunch listed, Colin Farrell would be, at least physically, somewhat like Ozzy if he was made up a bit. In terms of acting, Robert Downey Jr. would be the best, followed by Johnny Depp from this list. None of these guys really jump out as playing Ozzy to me, though. They should go with an unkn...

Re: Re:
If you remember, he didn't tell ozzy he was Randies student until after he got the gig. I've jammed with him and hung out with him a few times, each time I ask him why didn't he stay in Ozz's band he always said that Ozzy always treated his guitarist's after Rhoads died like crap! Joe told me that ...

Re: The Phoenix Az footage THE REAL Story
Well, I'm a new member here, but I'll throw in my two cents worth anyway. While this is fantastic news, that someone other than the Osbournes has footage of Randy, I don't think we'll see this, unless these "Brothers" are willing to share, or can fetch a hefty sum for the footage. It reall...

Re: The songs Joe Holmes played live from 1995-2000 with Ozz
Hi Canuck' I saw him on Ozzmosis as well and he added Children of the grave and Sabbath bloody sabbath as well, they also did Sweet leaf and War Pigs which had been in the set on other ozzy tours as well as Iron man and Paranoid (which you mentioned). Cool! Yeah, I just remember being surprised tha...

Re: The songs Joe Holmes played live from 1995-2000 with Ozz
I remember being really blown away that Ozzy actually played some Black Sabbath songs other than the standards (Iron Man, Paranoid) when I saw him on the OZZMOSIS tour...in fact I mentioned it to a friend how cool it was he was playing something different! I like to think that Joe Holmes wanted Ozz ...

Hello Everyone!
Hi there! Longtime reader of this great forum, just decided to join today! I've been a Randy Rhoads fan for a long, long time, and my first exposure to whom I think is the most amazing and exciting guitarist ever, came from my cassette version of BLIZZARD OF OZZ. Randy's amazing and wonderful playin...
