Re: Do you remember the moment you became a Randy Fan?

When I was a young teenager a guitarist was trying to get me to better understand Rick drumming, until then my influenced had been Clem Burk and John Bonham. On the tape was Mr Crowley and it was like a massive also across the face hearing it! My drumming took on an odd path because I would soon bec...

Re: Ahh, the 1980's

I have upped my rediscovered love of y&t with purchasing their two albums of previously unreleased Demos 'unearthed' vol 1&2. I get them as Christmas gifts but I am in fear that they will be horrible!! Lol, but I do love these retrospective albums of bands of the past where you can see them ...

It's hard to imagine an RR being almost 60! He will be a perpetual Peter Pan figure of rock music.

Slept well randy and thanks for the music x

Re: Randy's legacy from now on?.....

She certainly was hit hard and I am sure that is why she smothered his legacy in such a protective blanket, but even if she had been willing to let more material which was less perfect be heard that amazing talent and legacy would not have been dented.

Randy's legacy from now on?.....

We recently learned of the passing of Delores who as his mother guarded his reputation and controlled the release of his music with a rid of iron! Nothing got released if it wasn't perfect it portrayed him in a less than saintly light. What do you think will happen next? I hope the family will give ...

Filthy Phil animal Taylor RIP.

I was saddened to hear that Phil had died and twice in one week we lose a link to randy. For those who don't know he was motorheads drummer on their biggest hits and toured with randy across the USA and, one of randys best shows was supporting them in Portvale uk in 1981. He was part of what made me...

Re: Ahh, the 1980's

I have been getting all loved up for the 80's recently, I bought y&t's early years box set and I can't believe just how brilliant they were. I have been telling everyone how amazing their drummer was (best drummer ever) but I had forgotten just how amazing they are. Although they did start to ad...
