Re: Randy Rhoads and Eddie Van Halen Question.
Well for me that was the period when the band had hit the jackpot. The band became a pop band years later and the fresh new sound of the early albums was taking over by Dave L Roth's gimmicky circus showman ship. Which later became him doing his solo act. Why would i need to see a change in somethi...

Re: Randy Rhoads and Eddie Van Halen Question.
Well what Eddie achieved in his younger days was him at his peak late 70's early 80's. They did it all, had amazing albums out and toured the world. So how can you up your game when you have done it to the max. I disagree. Why not try to challenge yourself and do something new and exciting? Ironic ...

Re: Randy Rhoads and Eddie Van Halen Question.
While Ed may not have anything to prove anymore - he's done some great stuff, and I can admit that, and I'm not a fan - I just don't think he has anything relevant to say musically anymore. He's the Lion in Winter, figuratively speaking, and he's just resting on his laurels and past accolades, which...

Re: Randy's return?
I have been a member here for a few years (since 2011) and I have always had this big question in the back of my mind. Would Randy have returned to do more abulms and shows with ozz and quiet riot down the line after getting his master in classical guitar? What's everybodys thoughts on this? I thin...

Re: Rumor: Capitol Theatre, Passaic, New Jersey..Pro Shot
I haven't kept up with this topic... why would the Osbournes not want the footage released? Not sure this answers your question but here's a snippet from the email I sent. http://www.ultimaterhoads.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=4385&start=45 me: Would there be any possibility of it being shown on...

Re: Rhoads the guitarist superhero who quits to go to univer
He pretty much raised the white flag and surrendered when he chose to go to university. My point is that Rhoads didn't believe he could be successful being the owner of his own band because the singer makes it work, not the guitarist. He's not alone. Example: Jimmy Page. He's supposed to be the cre...

Re: What is Randy's "Historical Significance"??
Also, by repeating, "yes, but why was he significant?", it's clear that you are not finding the answer you, personally, seek. I want to know what people here think is Randy's historical significance... to me saying "He wrote great songs" or " Crazy Train is a classic riff&q...

Re: What is Randy's "Historical Significance"??
Paul, with all due respect, you keep changing the question here because it seems you're not getting the answer you want. No, most of the answers are "Randy was great." Which has nothing to do with historical significance. So I've revised the wording to make it more clear. I initially aske...
