Marshall JCM 800 sound
Hey guys, I recently bought a Marshall JCM 800 2203 amp head (Don't have the cab yet, playing through a Peavey Windsor cab at the moment) and I was wondering how to get that heavy metal 80's tone out of it. I've tried a variety of things to get it, putting my MXR Distortion + with full volume, and d...

Cover of a song
So my friend and I recorded this recently and I wanted to share it with you guys. Let me know what you think of it!
It's a cover of the song "Granny Niblo" by Fair to Midland.

Re: Awful Bernie Torme MR crowley rendition 2009
In 1982 when he originally replaced Randy, I could have forgiven him for the poor playing since he'd have had only a couple weeks to learn everything. However, he had 27 years (As of this video) to be able to learn this piece. I get trying to add your own spin on it and all, but damn.

Re: Randys amps.
but maybe if Randy had left Ozzy he might have came back at a latter date like Bob did. At least I think Ozzy would have tried to get him back. Maybe he could have got a better deal. It's impossible to know what could have been, however knowing what we know on Randy and his feelings toward the end,...

Re: Randys amps.
Seemingly if he had lived only one more year we would have a lot more live stuff from him. There is tons of Ozzy stuff out there from 1983 including a few pro shot shows. I'm not so sure he would've been in the band still to be honest. He was contractually obligated to do one more studio album and ...

Re: MIKE BORDIN Says Re-Recording Drum Parts On Classic OZZY
While I won't argue that the originals are infinitely better in every way imaginable, I don't think it's fair to blame Robert Trujillo or Mike Bordin for the shitty 2002 "remasters". They were lackies, for lack of a better word, to the Osbournes and according to Mike's statement he didn't ...

Re: Diary of a Madman guitar intro
Randy did copy it, because Ozzy heard Randy playing it and liked it. Randy was also being sued because of it, but the lawsuit was dropped when they found out Randy had passed.

Re: Southampton Question?
No idea about Max Norman, as I've never read the book. However I would guess it was just a live feed. As for the South Hampton show, the full show was recorded I believe, but you've only heard snippets of it because Bob Daisley and Lee Kerslake play on it. The Osbournes won't release the full show b...

Re: question about 30th annv live CD
I don't know the specific dates, in fact it may even be impossible to tell since I'm sure some parts came from early 80's shows like the New Hampton show. However, I do know that they spliced the parts together from various shows. Taking the best of each show and splicing it together. You can tell b...

Re: Another Tribute to Randy rhoads album!!
Sounds a lot better, and the fact that it doesn't have Ripper Owens on vocals for anything makes it even more appealing. I've heard Sebastian Bach's covers of a few Ozzy songs in the past and they weren't terrible.

Re: Immortal Randy Rhoads out March 2015
Listening to the clips in this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bNNgFll2lwQ really doesn't make me interested in it. Like, 90% of the vocals are just Tim "Ripper" Owens, who may be a good singer and might be a good guy, but doesn't really do anything for me (Always sounds like he's "p...
Re: Mystery
I recall seeing an interview of EVH after Randy had died. This was a few years ago, the video's no longer available on Youtube, but I recall EVH being kind of smug in it talking about how Randy learned everything from him. You can view the old thread on it here: http://www.nobitching.com/phpbb3/view...
