To my understanding, he did. He dropped the case after hearing that he passed away though.

Re: Could Quiet Riot have sued Ozzy?

What for? You can't just sue someone for the heck of it? I was asking because I thought of the song Shot in the Dark in which Ozzy was sued (yes, it was a whole song, as opposed to a riff) and was also thinking of Robin Thicke's Blurred Lines in which he was sued over having a similar feel to a Mar...

Could Quiet Riot have sued Ozzy?

Keep in mind, this isn't a " should they have sued, but a could they have sued. So as most, if not all, of us know Randy took many riffs he had written from his Quiet Riot days and used them on songs with Ozzy. Since those songs were written and recorded originally for use with Quiet Riot, woul...

Definitely an interesting read. Better than nothing, but I wish he had mentioned Bob by name.

I'd love to ask Ozzy someday if he'd be willing to make up with Bob and reunite even for one night.

Re: Randy's gear future speculation

Ok you dinks got to me. After reading around about the ax fx again my impressions as well as others is still the same. Not switching to one at point in time. So of course I'm looking for something to buy now along the lines of a phaser in the $200-$300 range or a new pedalboard to house all my peda...

Re: Crazy Train Alternate Mix Released (Sony Archives?)

That was really cool to hear. As far as the ending goes though, I think those might have just been unused takes or something. The original structure for the song might have had the solo go on for longer. Definitely would have made the song cooler though with that guitar part in the intro.

Re: Randy's gear future speculation

I would agree on the above for one reason only. I have a couple of friends who are gear junkies they've bought vintage cabs old stock gear etc to create that mystery tone. Both the guys are now kemper owners and they gig regular. The kempar is light weight and ideal to be used for gigging. It can e...

Re: Don Airey responded to my inquiry!

Any update on this? Really excited to see the final product. Did you miss the post above yours? He gave a update and also like you I cant wait to read this interview!! Shockwave said to expect about 3 weeks on the 14th of February, and it's been 4 weeks since that post. Yes, Don's busy and we can a...

Re: Randy's gear future speculation

Shockwave... lol? I don't get it? why because I mentioned Metallica? Metallica is irrelevant really, but most famous guitarists at this point are using Fractal to some extent whether it be for all their effects or for effects/amps. I think at this point in time Fractal has made amps obsolete, the t...

Re: Randy's gear future speculation

With Randy being a tone freak i could see him using a kemper...Those are never ending for having any amp tone you can get from the best of vintage heads to modern day heads. Kempers I have followed for years. If they offered something that looked like a normal head and not Star Trek I would probabl...

Diary of a Madman cover

This is a work in progress, as it's obviously missing some parts, but here is a cover I'm doing of Diary of a Madman. It's my most favorite song by Ozzy, mostly for the bridge, but the rest is amazing for me as well. I'm no top notch musician, but I think it sounds pretty decent so far. https://soun...

Re: Quite the dead stretch here lately...

Ozzy's new stuff with Gus G hasn't really taken me either though. Love Ozzy, but the quality of his music just doesn't seem to be there anymore. Thought Black Rain was his weakest album, dont rate it at all, but Scream was pretty good I thought, a majorimprovement, and Diggin' Me Down is one of my ...

Re: Quite the dead stretch here lately...

Yeah i know Zakk has calmed down his drinking antics. I was basically saying i don't think the Ozzy camp would invite Zakk back into the fold of playing guitar. Not many guitarists come through the revolving door for a second time Ozzy will just bring in the next guitar prodigy to blow you away. Oh...

I thought Zakk had quit drinking because of health reasons?
