I have been a Christian for a long time, and to me it simply means, I am a follower of Jesus Christ. I believe He is the Son of God and I believe the Bible is His divinely inspired word, and that Jesus' death on the Cross paid for all of my sins. Alot of what I see, especially here in the U.S.A., th...

Being a guitar player I'm going to have to say Crossroads (the one with Steve Vai and Ralph Macchio), the guitar duel scene at the end is worth whatever you paid to see the movie. I do at least have to mention the LOTR Trilogy, I do love those movies as well as their soundtracks, and I like anything...

I saw WS and Priest in Nashville back in July and they were great, they (WS) are truly a band of world class musicians with one of the greatest singers in the history of rock-n-roll. Doug Aldrich is just an incredible guitar player and a super nice guy also. He (Doug) is doing Dio's European tour th...

I listened to "Diary" on the way to work this morning (first time I had listened to it in a while) and it's still just a mother-fu@#er of an album, every song on that record is just killer. I actually prefer Sabbath with Dio and "Heaven and Hell" is one of the all time great meta...

Hello Everyone

Been meaning to put this up this week. Hello everyone, I am Ted, I'm from Mississippi (deep south) and have been playing guitar for 28 years. Jake E. Lee is far and away my biggest rock influence and the first time I heard "Over The Mountain", changed my life. I have always loved Randy's a...

I love that Robert Frost poem too, my favorite poem is "The Guitarist Tunes Up" (I think the title is right), go figure huh? Can't remember the author at the moment, I'll have to look it up again. Love soundtracks too, LOTR Trilogy, Pirates and The Red Violin come to mind immediately but t...

Hey Matt, Thanks for the reply, I am so glad to meet you to, this is a really cool site. For someone that alternate picking did not come naturally to Paul sure does it extremely well now. Being very familiar with Paul's playing, I was surprised to hear how much they sound alike when I heard Randy do...

Randy Rhoads and Paul Gilbert

Hi everyone, I am new to Ultimate Rhoads but not to Randy and Ozzy, I am also a huge Jake E. Lee fan. Earlier tonight I listened to Randy's seminar in Greensburg, Pa. for the first time. I read somewhere that Paul Gilbert was at this seminar and I wondered if anyone else noticed on the second soundc...
