Yes obviously in that photo is just a shadow. But I was just saying his other stage guitars were uncovered and he never bothered to uncover or change out the LP pickups.

This thread made wonder about something else. Covered pickups, gold worse than chrome or nickle suck output and tone a little bit. Some say more than a little.
