Re: Randy Marshall

He may have been renting from LA and that is why is was costing him so much. He may have gotten to England and started with the rented amps and ordered from Marshall later on and because cabs are quicker to make than amps, he may have got those by the recording but got the heads later on?

Re: Newer interview:Randy Prototype mentioned, RR tapes, etc

I love that 3rd white one, too bad he never got to play it, it is my favourite Jackson that he had made for him. Was the Vinny one the one with the Floyd, because I think that one was being built with a Floyd for Randy and I know Vinny did have a Rhoads model with a Floyd on it

Re: Randy Marshall

Im almost 100% certain that I correctly posted what I was told from him, however I'll try to contact him again to make sure that I got the facts right. I don't want to post his name because I don't want to make him look bad by posting information that may have slight errors in it and quote it as wha...

Re: Randy Marshall

I honestly don't have all the details, I was just briefly told that the amps on Blizzard weren't Randy's and they were borrowed from a guy in the LA scene. The guy I was talking to knows the Rhoads' family and was quite involved with the documentary until it went sideways with Peter M. as well as he...

Re: Randy Marshall

I was told from a very connected guy in that world who knows the amp tech in LA that he borrowed them from as he has worked with the same guy.

Randy Marshall

I know the Marshall's have been talked about endlessly, however does anyone know what year the Black ones that he actually ended up using were? Different years of the 1959 have different spec and tone. I also wonder what year his white ones were based on as by 81 they had started the 800's mainly so...

Re: 3/19/82-3/19/13 RIP Randy

I of course had to listen to some Randy today, however I learned lost and furthered my music knowledge and understanding today which IMO is the best honour I could do for Randy.

Miss you Randy

Re: Something Odd On Randy's Guitar

Yes, pickup covers can be removed. I dont think they are in this pic, however the white on the bridge pickup in this picture is lighter than the guitar body color, which is why Im not sure that it is the natural color and the top half is just a shadow.

Re: Something Odd On Randy's Guitar

Randy's pickups were covered so normally you cant see the bobbins at all.

Something Odd On Randy's Guitar

I saw this picture and am curious about what is on Randy's bridge pickup. It looks almost like there is a zebra humbucker in the slot, however Im almost certain that that is not the case. Just interested to know what it is...

Looks like he didn't use the cascaded white Marshall, both pictures clearly show the black ones to be one, while the red ones indicator was not.

Re: Need some Advice on a Concorde build

I dont want to start anything and I understand that you want a replica, but like threads have said before, its more about the playing and music than it is the gear. So I would say try to get a close dark blue/black colour but don't spend too much time on it and put that time into practicing. Im all ...
