Re: The Ritz 1982 from Ozzy's Memoirs Of A Madman DVD
I was at the Ritz show in 82, Brad Gillis played his ass off! Went to the show with a few friends not expecting much, but it turned out to be a killer show, and turned me on to Gillis big time!

Re: Favorite guitar string thread?
I've been using GHS Boomers for decades. They've never failed me on a gig. I have heard they are great, haven't tried them yet it is will in time, I was using Ernie ball plain steel and cobalt for years and one day a few strings shaped, so I decided to try Elixer poly Web strings and man they feel ...

Re: After Hours... Why didn't they film a full set?
Yeah, that After Hours footage is priceless to me. I had seen Randy 4 times live and I always tell my wife that the After Hours footage is unfortunately, the only really high quality representation of Randy in a live setting. When I saw him live, his tone was incredible, huge and warm sounding. I a...

Re: Quite the dead stretch here lately...
Well Ozzy is writing musics with Steve Stevens from BIlly Idol apparently but he will not be the touring guitarist Wow, this is good news, I love Steve Stevens, he's one of the most underatted guitarists ever. He's a great fit for Ozzy. It sucks they won't be touring. But hopefully Ozzy can make hi...

Re: Current poor sound quality of Blizzard/Diary CD's/Hi res
I agree, I've been saying that for years. I'm a guitarist on several guitar oriented forums and all these younger fellas slag Randy's tone. I always have Randy's back and ask if they've heard BOO & DOAM on vinyl because a lot of nuance is lost in the conversion to digital. It's a shame that you...

Re: Quite the dead stretch here lately...
Skeeza, I think you've done a great job with this site. Thanks. I periodically check in. I wish RR's legacy was handled better. I was hoping that 34 year after his death that some pro shot video would surface(I was especially hoping for the Holy Grail footage from the Capital Theatre 4-24-81 for I ...

Re: RR Live Tribute Tone with Axe FX II
NICE! I'd say just a bit more bass in the tone to nail it.
I'd love to try an Axe FX II but am afraid I'd do more tweaking than playing. I'm more of a plug in and play guitarist, guitar straight into my amp.
