Thanks 105 times for that story Matt! :D I like the part where Mildred talks about those German bombs in World War One. The Germans had a large artillery piece called "Big Bertha" in World War One. Looks like BIG MILDRED is still the top gun. Playing six strings keeps ya young---ya thinks?

If I buy this new guitar from the music store, do you think they will include a free pedal?

EVH uses his electric guitar as a magic wand (an endless display of slick guitar tricks).

RR used his electric guitar as a musical wand (a ton of hummable melodies that stick in the mind).

EVH + RR= What every electric guitar player should try to express....

I don't care if it's McDonald's, Burger King or Wendy's, as long as it is serving Randy.

I used to work in a law office and had to read tons of written motions filed by lawyers arguing over who is right and who is wrong. That constant exchange of dry and brutal perceptions of "truth" burned my mind out. Some of the claims and counterclaims going on right now, in the Rhoads Roo...

Yes, our own mortality, combined with witnessing the one's we know and love die before we do, makes writing about others lives emotionally complex. Yet, this is the constant dilemma that makes us create memories through books. Books are like bricks. If those who knew Randy in life author another bri...

Waiting to find lost pro footage of Randy playing his majestic and magnetic guitar is just like searching for The Holy Grail. The story of the Grail and of the quest to find it became increasingly popular in the nineteenth century, referred to in literature such as Alfred Tennyson's Arthurian cycle ...

Always have enjoyed hearing raw muddy jam sessions.... Of course when you are listening through a computer sound-card connected to a guitar amp---what do you expect... Like those old live jams (pressed on vinyl), the guitar always clearly resonates through the buzz saw cloud of noise...Randy, of cou...

Albert Einstein used to play violin to relax, sometimes he would play with other musicians. Brian May has a degree is something like 'astrophysics'. Some genius's are creative, yet hardly any creative people are considered by the general public or specialized critics as being a pure genius. I think ...

Ya all pAINTING a real Tainted Picture indeed. When Les Paul invented the multi-track recorder, he didn't know that some clown record executive would dub over a master recording of original musicians with other musicians to save on royalty payments.

The music industry has been dead for years. RIP

I don't think he was necessarily referring to Randy; I think he was just speaking about cocaine in general and people in general. Thanks. I was just philosophizing about drugs and society in general terms. The fact that Ozzy was the singer in the cited song "Snowblind" was a easy analogy....
