Randy was great, and possibly a creative "genius." However, most of the true genious of guitar playing can be found among little known players outside the musician community. For example, Ted Greene ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ted_Greene ) is considered a modern day genius of guitar pla...

Hey Romeo - There are many of us that want to see the "fucking interviews" because in the 25+ years since his death Randy has only been defined by Sharon, Ozzy, and Kevin - the loudmouths of his life. And, that is what really sucks, IMHO. The funny thing is that these three folks have ALWA...

Last time I was with Randy was in Burbank, at his home...while on break from England.

He was not giving lessons at that time, but was getting together with old friends and playing. Is that the same?

Best,
Gary

Hi Guys - There are many people that were a part of Randy's early life that were never interviewed by Peter. Randy always loved to teach the kids around him to play guitar, and, this will never be in the doc because none of those kids turned out to be a rock star. Such is life. Too bad, because that...

New QR date from 1978?

Hey Gang, I was looking at some of my old mags and found a QR date that seems to be unlisted on the boards. I'm sure there are plenty of unlisted QR shows, but this one is actually documented. QR played with Nick Gilder on 7/13/1978 at the Golden West Ballroom in Norwalk, CA. As you all may recall, ...

Hi all, I just had a chance to read the thread over at .tk Just to clarify: The picture is in MY possession, and has been for several years... not sure what Peter is talking about. This photo is from my personal photo album, not Jan's - so, if Peter has a copy, it is just a copy. I have no problem w...

The "photocopy" is basically a stolen image and the guy selling it has no right to do that. I own the original and have never given anyone permission to copy. Please do NOT buy anything from this guy. Thanks.

As I stand here before all of you, in my nakedness (don't mind the birthday suit, I'm strictly speaking of my psyche. The birthday suit is just the by-product of liking to walk around in the nude :) ) I bear witness to the best piece of information gained from this thread so far, it is a word I nev...

we will have to agree to disagree on the film. Not very academic or well argued for me, but we all have different ways of seeing things. Indeed. The Bible is certainly not "very academic or well argued" for me either - quite the opposite, especially considering New vs. Old Testaments. You...

I thought I'd also share a few words from Noam Chomsky, a man I admire greatly:

On Religion: http://www.chomsky.info/interviews/1990----.htm

Or, Google Chomsky and Religion. Good stuff.

The Zeitgeist movie is very entertaining but seems to be regarded skeptically by many people. I think the point of the video (posted above) which I completely agree with, is just because something is controversial, it doesn't make it true. To me it has the same type of sensational spin the De Vinci...
