Howdy!

Posting from Houston, TX. I'm a long time Randy Rhoads fan - saw him in Feb '82! ....just found the site - it's GREAT! I'm normally not as talkative but, honestly, I'm trying to push my pist count up the magical number 15. :wink:

I'm 42. :P ...was lucky to see Randy play live in '82 (Houston). I've seen a lot of shows since then - but never a better guitarist IMHO.

I just finished reading Rudy's book. It seems to me that Rudy feels Andy may have crashed the plane intentinally. Rudy mentions that Andy was having relationship troubles, and that his wife was on the tour bus - yet didn't receive a scratch. Rudy seemed suspicious of her story.

I will add my name as another who has read and really enjoyed 'Off the Rails'. I got to see Randy back in '82 - it was an honor. When I heard of Rudy's book - I had to get a copy. I'm glad I did.

I was driving home from school - had a couple friends in the car and was dropping them off when I heard it on the radio. I was shocked. We had just seen Randy about a month ago at the Feb 17 show in Houston. I spent the next few days in a depression.

Waaaaay back in 1980, I was a huge Ozzy fan. When I heard 'Blizzard of Oz' I was hooked. I was learning guitar, and pestered my teacher to teach me as much new Ozzy as Ihe could. I was also lucky enough to see Randy when he and Ozzy played Houston Feb 17, 1982 - just over a month before he died.
