Re: Randy's Bedroom
It sounds extreme, but I had one as a kid. Fairly big. I was really into the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles at the time and I wanted my bedroom to look like a NYC back alley! When Randy was writing music, maybe he crumpled up a lot of papers and needed some place to throw them in? I would love to see ...

Re: The Official New Footage (NYC and NM) Thread (Box Spoile
C'mon! Ozzy even said he does not remember wearing tassels! He's worn them for most of his career! His response is so faked. And I'm someone who still enjoys his music. However, I don't think there is anymore footage in the Ozzy/Sharon vault. If it's being held back, the only reason I could see that...

Randy in CG?
The video tribute thread got me thinking, has anyone ever tried making CG footage of Randy? I’m guessing somebody probably tried something like that with second life. There was a show on the History Channel where old photos, taken decades before motion film was invented, were used to create realisti...

Re: Idea for a tribute video / memorial project
Since the music is what matters most, why not stack track all of theses sound recordings into one mix (perhaps along with the original music) instead of editing that out? Otherwise it's just a bunch of people paying tribute to Randy's image, no?

Haha! Great titles, both of them! Ozzy's old wordsmith has still got it!

Re: The highlight of every Ozzy/Randy show
Waaait! Randy can play his old Quiet Riot riffs but Ozzy can't do a few old Sabbath songs? Hardly seems fair or reasonable. I only wish they would have tried out different Sabbath songs during the tours, mixed it up. Randy's take on "Children of the Grave" is nothing short of amazing, and ...
Re: 1982
I think the same thing too about 1982. It's like a kind of BC/AD marker. Plus, 1982 was the last year were the 80's looked like it could pass for the 70's! My first thought if I suddenly woke up and "1982" was on all the calenders would be, "is there still time to catch a Diary of A M...

Re: Eerie Sounds on Blizzard Of Ozz
Wow! It became a p!ssing contest between two mighty albums. Franky, DOAM gets more points with me due to the title track. Does anyone else imagine a majestic castle rising high up in the night sky or morning mist? I know the album artwork is inspiring part of my imagination, but it's more due to the...

Re: Diary of a Madman Stage Setup
The stage itself was a work of art. I can't believe Ozzy would go through all that trouble to have such an elaborate stage show and not have it professionally filmed...while Randy was still alive.
Maybe the stage gear is in a warehouse somewhere, arches, torches, trap doors, dwarf corpses and all?

Eerie Sounds on Blizzard Of Ozz
My apologies if this has been discussed before, but have any of you ever had any thoughts or feelings concerning the more darker aspects of this album. Specifically, I’m curious about the strange sound that occurs after the fadeout of “Mr. Crowley” but well before “No Bone Movies”. What is that supp...

Re: Kevin DuBrow; 1955 - 2007
I'm late getting a reply on this too, 4 years later and it seems strange to think of him dead. He was a vibrant living connection to Randy Rhoads and a bygone era of Heavy Metal/the L.A. music scene. Bad musician, good musician. Coke overdose or not, he was a human being. One who seemed to be smilin...

Randy Rhoads in the Road Warrior?
Ok, it's not really him, but does anyone else think the biker guy that gets killed by the boomerang at the begining looks a lot like Randy?

Live Evil is my favorite Sabbath album. Dio has a lot more going on with his voice than Ozzy, so ofcourse it's going to sound different. His take on War Pigs, it is the best version of that song, IMO. Also the way they re-did the Dio era stuff is amazing too. Live album songs should sound different,...
